Book Review: Love Dust

How do you feel about short stories? Do you love them or hate them?

Personally, I love them. Short stories are perfect for a quick read while waiting for appointments or before bed. Sometimes, I just don't have the time or energy to invest in a full length novel. Also, I am in awe of authors who can write short stories. It's very hard to get the character development and to suck your readers in before the ending!

I have reviewed Stranger Secrets several months ago if you want a fun read that will is entertaining and a brain teaser.

I was approached Pixie Forest publishing to read and review their new anthology, Love Dust. It is a collection of romantic and romantic fantasy stories.
Honestly, I loved each story and I loved how they worked together in the anthology. Each story was a love story but it wasn't always boy meets girl. They covered all the facets of love in one's own life. Everything from a grandfather's love in Peppermint Kisses to falling in love reading Six Point Hayes to growing old an in love in Tootsie.

I think there is something for everyone in this anthology. Even though I enjoyed them all, I had two favorites. Sugar and Ink is about two people finally noticing each other. The magic in this one is just as beautiful as the prose. My other favorite was The Beech Tree Carving. I was tearing up by the end. It was suspenseful and so full of hope. Without giving too much away, think along the lines of the Notebook.

Book blurb from Goodreads:

Become immersed in worlds where love is key. In these twelve stories, enjoy tales of new, unexpected, and lost love.
Open the pages to discover love that fights through war, abuse, curses, death, and withstands time itself. These stories will touch your heart, make you laugh, and make you cry. Let the authors show you the many ways love can tug at your heartstrings in Love Dust.

Thank you to the publisher for this awesome collection of shorts.

Tank's Thoughts

Is anyone going to camp in April? As in Camp Nanowrimo?

I am and I am super excited about it. I am working on my WIP which I hope to be a contemporary romance, even a romcom (if I am creative enough). What I really like about Camp is that you can set your own goals. Mine is to write 2 pages a night! It tends to be more laid back than regular Nanowrimo.

My bro and I started our own cabin called Friends Cross Country. You are more than welcome to join us. Just message the @History_king to get invited! The cabin is for people looking for a fun supportive group. No worries about what your goals or genre, we just have lots of support and discussion.

Have I convinced you to give it a try? If you are interested check it out HERE!

Tank's Thoughts

Hi ya'll! Tank here!

I hoped everyone survived daylight savings this weekend. I am not a morning hound as it is so it was a little ruff getting up. Allie and the hubby had to go to work so I had to get up with them.

Today I want to share with you a reading app that we love. It is called Readercoin and you can find it in the app store. How it works is that you find a story that you would like to read. The app keeps track of the time you spend reading or listening to the story. For every 10 minutes of reading or listening, you earn 1 point. The best part of it is that it is totally free!

The majority of the books are classics, so we are rereading alot of books from when Allie was in high school.

There are some newer titles being added. The people behind Readercoin are recruiting authors on Wattpad and other indie authors to share their stories. The writers also earn incentives.

What's the point of earning those points? You can use the points to donate to charities or to save up for cool prizes!

Check out their website:

If you are interested in joining use my referral code: Alliei2m

We both get 150 bonus points!

Reading app do you love?

That's all for now. I am going to catch some ZZZs!

Licks and tail wags,
🐾
