Book Review:

First off I want to apologize to the author and Rachel at Rachel's Random Resources. I was supposed to post this on Thursday, but I didn't.

I love reading Lizzie Lamb's stories. The heroine is relatable and just your average woman dealing with every day problems. This story was no different.

India is a wonderful woman trying to find her own way plus taking care of her great aunt. On top of all of that, sexy Logan is after her great aunt's home and trying to shatter her dreams. But there are sparks between them.

I so enjoyed this story. The love story pulls at my heartstrings. The plot moves at a quick pace. I enjoyed the setting. As a native Wisconsinite, Ms. Lamb was spot on in her description.

Thank you to the author for this copy of her story.

Author Bio

After teaching her 1000th pupil and working as a deputy head teacher in a large primary school, Lizzie decided to pursue her first love: writing. She joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s New Writers’ Scheme, wrote Tall, Dark and Kilted (2012), quickly followed by Boot Camp Bride. She went on to publish Scotch on the Rocks, which achieved Best Seller status within two weeks of appearing on Amazon and her next novel, Girl in the Castle, reached #3 in the Amazon charts. Lizzie is a founder member of indie publishing group – New Romantics Press, and has co-hosted author events at Aspinall, St Pancras and Waterstones, Kensington, talking about the research which underpins her novels. Lizzie latest romance Take Me, I’m Yours is set in Wisconsin, a part of the USA which she adores. She has further Scottish-themed romances planned and has just returned from a tour of the Scottish Highlands in her caravan researching men in kilts. What’s not to like? As for the years she spent as a teacher, they haven’t quite gone to waste. She is building a reputation as a go-to speaker on indie publishing, and how to plan, write, and publish a debut novel. Lizzie lives in Leicestershire (UK) with her husband, David.
She loves to hear from readers, so do get in touch . . .

Book Review:

To start with, I just love the cover. It captures the tone of the story. It has dark mysterious elements that just drew me it. I liked how she worked the cat into the cover.

Elizabeth Davies weaves an exciting tale about the struggles of Caitlyn. To be honest, I was surprised how the story went. Caitlyn was a likeable character. My heart went out to her with some of the tragic events that happened to her. The story ended up being darker than I thought it would. It gave me nightmares.  So I finished reading it in the daylight! :) it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages.  I felt like this book was a good warm up for the next, which I can't wait to start.

Author Bio:

Elizabeth Davies is a paranormal author, whose books have a romantic flavour with more than a hint of suspense. And death. There's usually death...

Blog Tour: Cold Fire

Book Blurb:
Set in the magical boarding school of St Francis', Cold Fire centres around a group of teenagers who become involved in the tale of Romeo and Juliet in this contemporary re-telling of the classic story. Meanwhile, four hundred years earlier, a young teacher from Stratford Upon Avon arrives at the school. His name is Will... From the author of The Invisible Hand comes the second book in the spellbinding Shakespeare´s Moon series.

Book Review:
What was one of your favorite reads in high school? One the most memorable for me is Romeo and Juilet. I had read this story many times. It is definitely is a favorite.
I really enjoyed Cold Fire. It had all the elements of a fun YA read. There was suspense, action, typical teenage problems, and, of course, love.
The author spins a fabulous modern day tale of Romeo and Juliet. The magic of William Shakespeare is expertly woven into the story about these seeming normal teenagers. This story had me on the edge of my seat and cheering for the characters. It was a fun read.

Author Bio –
James was born on the Wirral, England, in 1973 on a rainy Thursday. He shares his birthday with Bono, Sid Vicious and two even nastier pieces of work, John Wilkes Booth and Mark David Chapman.

His mother was a hairdresser with her own business and his father worked in a local refinery which pours filth into the sky over the Mersey to this day. They married young and James was their first child. He has two younger brothers and a still-expanding family in the area. As an Everton fan he suffered years of Liverpool success throughout the seventies and was thrilled when his father took a job in Singapore and the family moved lock, stock and two smoking barrels to Asia.

He spent five fine years growing up in the city state before returning to the rain, storms, comprehensive schools and desolate beauty of the Scottish east coast. Later years took he and his family to baking hot Muscat, in Oman, and a Syria that has since been bombed off the surface of the planet.

James lives in Madrid, Spain, with his wife and two children.
