Guest Post from Wonderlandians Books!

Hey Everyone,

We have a new guest post! Ashten from her blog, Wonderlandians Books, is here to share with us. Please stop over and check out her blog!

1. Tell us about your blog. How long have you been blogging?

I run a Blog called Wonderlandians Books. I've officially been blogging with this specific this blog for about 3 months now. This is not my first go at blogging. I have a Blog on Blogger from 6 years ago that is still up and running I haven't used it in 6 years.  There is also one from 4 years ago I wanted to get back into blogging then a couple posts when I just stop posting all together. I honestly believe I needed to grow as a reader before I could really start blogging.
How I came up with the Wonderlandians Books What's a really hard for me.When I first started the blog it was called all the bookish things. After a while of blogging with that blog I just wasn't feeling the name anymore. One thing that holds true to me is for me reading should be all about Adventure and Escape. So I have this saying reading is my Neverland and writing is my Wonderland.  let me explain reading to me as I said should be adventurous and anytime I think of Neverland I think of all the awesome adventures that Peter Pan had throughout his life. When I think of Wonderland and Alice I think of all the chaos that can sue in Wonderland. so when I'm writing for me I think about what kind of chaos can I cause in My characters lives that day.

2. What's your favorite genre to read?

I read 2 genres. For young adult I typically tend to read in the Paranormal and Supernatural genre. Then when it comes to adult books I typically tend to read adult Romance but specifically erotica. I honestly can't get enough of both. But when you mix Supernatural and paranormal with steamy romance in new adult it's like The Best of Both Worlds for me.

3. What do you do to get in the mood to write blogs?

Honestly when it comes to my blog I'm kind of always in the mood. I love writing new content for my blog and that could be because my blog is new but I highly doubt it. I'm constantly trying to think of things that I can post. I have a daily prompt that I do. so every Tuesday I do tag Tuesday and every Friday I've got free Friday. so every day has a recurring theme. There are two days in particular that I do find it hard to right and that would be Sunday and Monday. Sunday is I really just want it to be a lazy day and if I blog great if I don't I'm not going to beat myself up over it. Mondays are kind of what I call Monday madness. It's just a day where I can write whatever I want to. I feel like you need to be disciplined when it comes to a Blog and keep a schedule. So that's what I try to do I try to keep a schedule.

4. Are you writing anything besides book reviews?

Yes I'm currently in the middle of what seems like five other projects. I have narrowed it down to two projects that I hope to finish by the end of this year. I am writing a book that has to do with mental illness but specifically obsessive compulsive disorder.  currently the working title is called the Project Odette. This specific project is so personal to me that I'm so scared every time I sit down to write. I do  have obsessive compulsive disorder so the topic at hand is so raw for me that I'm scared of what people's reactions are going to be. Then I'm writing  a young adult novel that has to do about witches and really all I can say about that right now. I've been working on this project for about 5 years.

5. What's your favorite color?

I'm going to have to say I don't have just one favorite color I've got three. I really love purple, pink, and blue. I have a tattoo that's kind of my favorite animal plus these splatter paint effect that is the three colors and it kind of reminds me of a galaxy So I love those colors.

6. Are you a coffee or tea person?

I love this question because it's like your other hardcore coffee drinker or you are a hardcore tea drinker. If I had to choose it would be coffee over tea just because I've been drinking coffee since I was 13. But lately I have been getting into tea. So I found that when it comes to tea I have very specific taste. It has to be fruity and a white tea . I found that black tea is just really overpowering and I feel like you need to really work your way up to that tea because it's super potent.

7. What are your unicorns' names?

This is probably my favorite question of them all. So I currently have 6 unicorns that have stayed with me. They didn't want to be in Wonderland so they had stayed in our world. Though I've got the two sets of twins stop. You've got Mystic and Misty. These are the older sets of twins. Then you've got their younger sisters who are Thea and Athena. Then we got the two youngest two are not twins we've got Uni and Luna. Luna's name should be Mischief because whenever I turn my head she's gone. She's also the baby out of all of them. I think Thea and Athena like don't like her so the push her.
I feel like I should let people know that I do know that these are all stuffed animal. Each one of them was given to me by somebody who I really love. And the one that had the longest is Misty Or the Mystic Beanie Baby.I also really love the tale of The Velveteen Rabbit.I always loved the idea that you could love a stuffed animal so much that it would become real. So over the years I've collected some unicorn stuffed animal because I got one when I eight and I love them.

8. Who is your favorite mystery/suspense/thriller Author?

I don't typically tend to read a lot of Mystery, suspense, or thriller books. But I will say the one author that really sticks out to me is Agatha Christie.

9. What's your favorite mystery book?

So keeping an topic with Agatha Christie I really love her book and then there were none. I read that book when I was in 8th grade and I love the fact that the story intertwines itself with a  popular nursery rhyme of the Ten Little Indians.I definitely want to read that again at some point I just haven't really ever gotten around to it.

10. If you were detective which fictional detective would you want to be your partner?

This is without a doubt probably the easiest question I've had to answer I would want Sherlock Holmes to be my partner in crime. I haven't read the books I do intend to. My dad loves those books. So I definitely have to get those from him so I can read them. But I've seen pretty much every movie that has to do with and He's incredible and I wish I could be the female version of him.
